The Marquee Restaurant & Lounge

Absolutely! We stumbled across this place and are so happy we did. Staff was friendly, It was bright, clean, pleasing to the eye and you could tell a lot of thought went into this place. Food was amazing and please note there is a warning on the menu that the food can take up to an hour because it's all made to order. It only took about 25 minutes as we we're there around 1:00 in the afternoon on Friday so it wasn't very busy. I wish it was in my city.

The waitresses are so sweet, patient and understanding! Our waitress Charlene was very friendly and accommodating with my party. We had a party of 7 for a birthday. We came right at 11 so there wasn't a wait. She worked hard and kept checking in on us, talking to us, trying to figure out how to help us! Love her! My party kept getting bottomless mimosas and shots after shots! The bartender made me a decent Bloody Mary and the olives were good. The hot sauce has a good kick to it. The hostesses were nice and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The manager came and checked on us. Everyone was working hard. This was surprising because I'm used to it being a club but it's definitely a restaurant. I love the music the vibe and the ambiance. Every place is great for a picture. Folks loved the salmon lobster Mac and cheese, the cat fish was good, the biscuits were great, the potatoes didn't seem fresh, the chicken wings were ok. They had the chicken and waffles that were good. The French toast was good. The grits were ok. This is definitely a place to come if you want to come kick it and eat and drink during the day for a great brunch party vibe!

I’m really disappointed to say the least. I brought my family from out of town to celebrate my nephew’s birthday. It was 5 of us so we knew to expect a wait. However, we waited in the car for an entire hour. My husband came in to check, 45 minutes into our wait, and the lady with the fade was extremely rude. The young lady working the door tried her best. Since we were “up next” to be seated my husband asked if we could wait at the empty table, since we had been sitting in the car for almost an hour. The lady with the fade told the other young lady, “no they can’t, they (Marquee staff) will just try to serve them. Unfortunately, after an hour of waiting in our car, they did not allow us to sit in the empty table to wait. My husband comes back to tell me and at this point I needed to use the restroom. I went in and asked to use the restroom. Walking past several empty tables, the young lady asked if one of the spots were okay for us to be seated at. We are finally seated after waiting an hour and ten minutes. The young lady explained they were short staff, so we go to the bar to get drinks, still trying to show my family a good time. An hour passes, another hour. At this point I asked a random employee who our server was. She points to the server with blonde hair, who had passed us several times. Another hour passes… it’s also my Founders Day so I’m still trying to have a good time and talk with some sorors. Another hour passes and we haven’t even received water, yet along an acknowledgment from “the server”. We get up to go and some random food comes to our table by another server. We explained how we haven’t even talked with our server so it can’t be ours. The other server apologies and offers to take our food. At this point it’s around 3:30p and no one has eaten anything so we sit back down and order food. Our food came out in roughly 40 minutes. Little to say we have done business with you all and have spent thousands on sections. I am very disappointed and let down. We have traveled all over the country and have never received service this poorly.
